It's a key city of northern Italy, situated in the region known as Lombardia, located within the continental, non-peninsula part of Italian territory. Architecture is very diverse, and extends from times of roman military camp that grew into city (this roman part can be read only on the urban grid ) to contemporary. City by itself is gigantic, seemingly endless, with industry mixed into its bulk.
