Shawna nearly jumped out of her skin when the alarm started ringing, an old fashioned, metallic 'rrrrrriiiinnnnngggggg!!!' She shut her eyes and put her head back, waiting for the blast. This was it, this would be the end. It kept ringing. When would the blast come? How long would it ring first? Did Emily hook it up incorrectly? Or was this just a cruel trick to torture her?
