Description
A concept I am working on for fun. I call it "Godzilla-X" as it's existence was unknown before it finally emerged from the deepest reaches of the Pacific Ocean, the Mariana Trench. Upon surfacing in Saruga Bay just off Japan's Izu Peninsula. It cut a swath of destruction across the mainland's Pacific coast. Design wise it incorporates several inspirations from the natural world, and some mythology and of course previous G-designs. His head exhibits crocodilian traits with some dragon-like elements mixed in. The end of the tail is taken directly from this source as well. Because it slumbered within the deepest reaches of the trench, its core temperature is much higher and thus it has the "Burning Godzilla" heat patches amid its body. This is not evidence of the same instability that saw the Heisei Gojira's demise, merely a side effect of resting at such a depth presumably close to the Earth's mantle.Related content

Suggestions:
The tail could use more work, it kinda looks like it'd be impractical in combat.
The head could be slightly bigger, it seems like it's brain would be too small to send messages to the rest of it's body.
Arm's could get a slight upscale as well.
The color pallets could do with a change, it kinda makes the texture seem cement like, not. Scale like
Now onto the good parts of this:
I liked the design as a whole, with a few bits that iff me.
It actually looks like a Kaiju that could fit in the Godzilla universe.
It could stand out as it's own version of Godzilla, like Space Godzilla, and the other re-enditions (save for Zilla)
Otherwise, it was pretty good, with a few minor kinks that could easily be tweaked
For Originality: I have to give it a 3, since there's so many versions of Godzilla it's hard to find something that hasn't been done
For technique: I give it a 4.5 since it looks like a kaiju that would fit in that universe.
For Vision: I give a 4, since I can see what you were going for.
For impact: I give a 5, since it's a real relief to find some decent worthwhile art that isn't the most disproportioned, cliche design, like so many other deviantart users make when drawing/painting.

Whys that? I didn't get an opportunity to comment because I was tired last night and passed out. But I think it was informative, insightful, and helpful for making the design better. You pointed out things that could use tweaks, and even what may work better for the concepts over all impact. Given the popularity and prominence of the character. So yeah why wouldn't I accept such an awesome critique?
