Your art is very lovely and creative, however, you need to work a bit on foreshortening the nose. I see it's a bit of a problem in several of your paintings. They are so close to right, but off by just a bit. Lovely color use and nice, flowing lines. Congratulations on the DD.

Exquisitely beautiful. Β I love the variance in the shade and tone. Β I'm glad you let the colours "run" into each other instead of having them form distinct strands of hair. Β The monarch butterflies are intensely lovely as well. Β You must have mapped them carefully to be sure you left the "white" spots for the outer edges. Β Unless you added in the white spots later? Β I like the shading on her eyes.
This picture immediately made me think "What I think I look like" (You know those comparison pictures "what my friends think I look like" "what my family thinks I look like" "what I really look like") Β When I imagine how others see me, I hope they see someone strong and beautiful. Β I intensely associate with two animals--the butterfly and the fox, and I think this drawing encompasses both! (The fox elements I see in the bushy luxuriant hair and the fact that foxes can be all the colours you've featured in the hair, even the dark blue!) Β There is something spiritually freeing about a rainbow, and when I think of how I want to appear to others, it is a living rainbow (the aurora borialis), ever changing and full of surprises. Β Bringing encouragement after the rain. Β Even the title "In love with nature" describes me very well. Β My heart is in the wild woods, no matter what current mundane task I may be doing.
Astonishingly, except for the eyebrows (mine are naturally thinner) this drawing could be me! Β I have that exact shade of blue eyes, that nose, those cheekbones, and those ridiculously large lips. Β I sincerely doubt my own hair cascades as epic-ally as the drawing does, but it is wild and wavy and all over the place. Β On my best days it appears like that. (I don't style it--it just does it on its own). Β
I wonder who your model is for this painting and if we might be distantly related.
