My daughter was there on a school trip, I have yet to visit. She's been to go there on holiday this year... other plans though

There's a couple of ants, some seeds & pollen in the piece I've got.
A friend, who's a silversmith, turned it into a pendant for me.

Somehow in my head Gdansk is a giant shipyard! I'm not sure I ever saw it as a beautiful city - but it seems to be

The Iron Curtain began to crumble a little bit with the beginnings of the Solidarnosc trade union, which started at the Gdansk shipyard. I must confess that I totally forget to visit the shipyard... The inner city is much restored and rebuilt (a lot of the gables are hiding concrete), but I'd still rate it the second most beautiful city in Poland, after Cracow (which isn't restored at all, but mostly as old as it looks). At the annual fair it's rather crowded, but not in an unpleasant way, and it's a good time for Street shots.
