Of this in particular: fav.me/d15ht8uI never got on the 'redesign everything Godzilla' bandwagon back when that happened, but there are a few monsters I never cared too much for. One was Super Godzilla and how much he looked like Space Godzilla, so once years ago (7!) I made an effort to make a different take on a powered up Godzilla. I decided to revisit it and add some elements from the newest version of Godzilla. I think this one has a bigger head and isn't quite as bulky when compared with the new movie, but I think I felt they went a little overkill with the mass and dinky head...
Anyways, alternate 'super godzilla' delivered with marginally more artistic ability...

this one looks like if they took the Legendary design and then Toho made it suitable (no pun intended) for a live action film with a new rubber suit, i could actually see this happening as Toho's interpretation of Legendary Godzilla, good job

Yeah I never really got into that fan thing either... believe it or not, I've never even seen any of the giant monster movies. says the guy with half their gallery dedicated to kaiju art...(and really I only know the term kaiju because of DA)
Although as far as the work itself is concerned, that is a seriously big improvement. The profile looks great, and your work with the various shadings and textures certainly dose add more life to the pic.

That is very different, I don't think I've heard of a kaiju/giant monster fan that wasn't exposed to those movies as a kid... until now, anyway.
Sometimes I feel like the difference isn't as much as it really should be for the time I've been at this, but at least there's some progress I guess.
