To be honest, I'm not exactly a genius with sewing either and I sorta just guessed at it until it worked... but I can tell you I made it in two pieces since I couldn't work it out. I made the 'sash' part first and then a seperate piece to go around the neck. They pretty much look like one piece when worn unless you know about it, though.

It's not what I originally intended to use and I do want to re-do it with something different but I actually got two see though document holders in red and blue to use for the visor part since I had to do it last minute, ahaha.
