what exactly do you mean?
The nebula is painted in photoshop refined with a few textures to enhance the details. The stars are made with hundreds of tiny little lens flares.

Lol yeah sorry that wasn't the best way I could have worded that question but you answered it, I was just wondering how you highlighted and darkened parts of it, I'm just starting getting into space art haha

I love the star-filled backdrop! Just the right amount of stars with maximum necessary details---and the smoky feel of the universe looks very "omg is this a Hubble space shot?"
Really cool effect overall--I enjoyed the depth to the growing crater in the dying planet, very 3D visually (:

wow that is great I love the composition and the dramatic colour and lighting.
