Companion piece to the Elegant Ladies .

Technically, since both callisto-chan and I have actual god characters in our stories, I should have drawn anijel 's Rafe with them, but then it wouldn't really be a companion piece. Plus, like with the other picture, Rafe is human, and these are the male protagonists of the story, anyway. So it works out.

Amir is the prince of Cerulande, which is has taken up rule over after his father passed away right before the story starts. He's the sort that questions everything, and has more of a realistic point of view, to the point where he clashes with the major religious force within his court. I don't blame him - Beniot was rather...arrogant about his previous position, and those sorts are usually villainous by nature. But Amir is a good sort of person at the end of the day, and makes for a great ruler.

Amir also gets shafted a bit by being the shortest. But hey, he turned out adorable, so it all works out in the end.

Rafe is the God of Wrath who does what gods of wrath do, and did something stupid and wound up being punished for it. Which is...you know, whatever...at least until his GF decides that she wants to join him and becomes human as well. And then decides to get herself killed. And then completely forgets him when he's nice enough to revive her! No wonder he's pissed all the time. The universe hates him.

Rafe tends to dress above his status, being a former god and all. So his outfit certainly is on par - or is perhaps better - than the ones the princes are wearing. >.< I like it, though.

Robert is the crown prince and hair to the throne of Lumentis. He's somewhat similar to Amir, except he's not as political. He puts knowledge first and foremost, and won't believe anything unless it can be proven. He cares deeply about his people, even if it seems like his people don't care about him. Like Amir, he's a good person, always trying to do what's right. Even if he's the only one that'll do it.

Robert is a bit of a contradiction, being an insanely tall Asian sort. (He's not insanely tall by our standards - he's 6'3", which is tall, but not crazy tall. But he is crazy tall by Lumentian standards, so he tends to stand out. A lot.) Thanks to his height and his lankiness, he's a terrible fighter because he's not very coordinated. But he's working on that. But otherwise...I like his outfit. Simple, yet princely. I sort of felt bad putting Amir in his normal outfit and Robert in his second outfit...but Amir only really has the one. And I wasn't about to attempt their fancier outfits. >.O

It's not quite as gorgeous as their ladies, but it's not supposed to be. But they turned out nicely, I do have to say.

Whatever you are doing, Rafe disapproves of it greatly.
