Rafe’s expression will never not be hilarious, I swear. Like come on, look at him, being all scowly. It’s like he disapproves of being in a picture with these two schmucks. Clearly he should be in a picture with other gods, as is befitting his noble and dignified stature…oh. Hm. On second thought he’ll be in this picture with the lowly mortals, but he won’t like it.
The other two are clearly having a grand old time by comparison. I suppose they’re both used to dealing with fickle gods at this point, though Rafe probably tops Ignatius or Duja in terms of annoyance. >.>
I don’t know if Rafe’s outfit is based off of something or something anijel designed (or you designed?) but I really like it. It’s unusual but kinda cool. The boots are also kinda neat as well. When I saw the inks they reminded mea little bit of Eternal Sailor Moon’s boots, but thankfully they remind me of those much less now that they’re in colour. I think what I like most is his jacket, and I can’t really explain why. I think it just looks really cool.
Robert also looks really cool as well. I think it’s the eyeliner. It looks punkish to me. I mean, I could have Amir have it, since it’s a cultural thing (but one that also serves a practical purpose among a desert people). Except Amir’s all about trying to blend in with the people he’s trying to rule, so no eyeliner for him. But I love how Robert tries to become more Alterian while Buttercup tries to become more Lumentian. I don’t know why I find it quite as hilarious as I do, but I do. Hopefully Robert doesn’t go overboard with the piercings in an attempt at becoming ~*~truly Alterian~*~, Buttercup might have to keep him in check. Or Ignatius. I have a feeling he’d be more direct about it.
I think I’ve said it all before, but it’s still funny to me.
Poor Amir. He’s the short guy of the group, but it doesn’t help that Robert;s super tall for the time. Amir’s probably closer to average, Robert’s just…massive. Rafe can get away being tall, being a god and all. Or former god.
Yeah, Amir only really has the “everyday” outfit and the “formal” outfit, which doesn’t really fit. I’ve been thinking about rewriting AV, possibly making it into a trilogy. In that case I should probably design other outfits for the poor boy. Even if I don’t…I should still design other outfits for the poor boy. He looks good in red though, and it provides a nice contrast with Robert’s green.
I’m not sure what else I can say, but these guys look great together, even if the middle one doesn’t seem very happy to be there. It’s better than the alternative. I love this, and I’ll have to see if I can’t encourage anijel as well >.>
Love!

So disapproving. He disapproves of the way you find him hilarious. You’re doing it all wrong somehow. And these morons behind him aren’t helping. This is a serious picture! What amateurs. Now, if he were around his own kind…wait. No, he didn’t say that. He likes these morns here. Yeah. These morons works just fine…
It’s sort of funny, because I honestly don’t know what it is about his expression. I mean, it looks odd to me, because I copied and pasted his eye over, and I’m not used to symmetrical, matching eyes. But it works. And then there’s the frown and the eyebrows, and…the whole thing comes together. Hilariously. His outfit is referenced from a picture that anijel sent me, actually. It does look a bit unusual, but cool, and matched the medical-but-not-really that Islene had going on. Yeah, I just sort of BSed the boots, but they turned out all right. Yeah, his jacket looked cool until I flat colored it, but thankfully, it looked cool again when I shaded it.
Oh yeah, Robert looks cool! Like an Asian punk rock star, or something. I don’t think Amir would be able to rock the eyeliner like Robert could, even if it’d make more sense for him to wear it. But yeah, I love the idea that they’re each trying to be more each other’s culture, because it’s cute. Luckily, Robert doesn’t plan to go all out – like I said, he liked the eyebrow piercing, so he just wanted to get it, really. Mostly because he’ll get to see actual Alterians going overboard, and it’ll…it’ll scare him a bit.
Ha ha, poor Amir over there. He doesn’t fit in at all. First with the shortness, then with the brown pants. Didn’t he get the memo to wear black? He ruins it. Another reason Rafe disapproves. Luckily, he’s adorable, so he certainly makes up for it. I’m looking forward to his reaction seeing Robert, though. Hee hee.
Robert technically has his ‘everyday’ outfit and his ‘formal’ outfit as well, it’s just that I like to give each book their own outfit, so he has two everyday outfits. But I don’t like drawing the male fancy outfits, so…yeah. They get this. And they rock it, so it all works out.
They turned out very well together, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
