Description A snippet from the Expectingverse . This was the point when it really hit home for Stephen that maybe he couldn't just raise George colorblind.

This was actually drawn months ago, so it wasn't intended for IBARW . Have a mini-linkspam (involving families, being bi- or multiracial, and how kids process race) anyway.

Stewart is godfather, actually.

In this story, he's also Stephen's long-term romantic partner. At the same time, he and Stephen are both married to women, who are also romantically involved with each other. Also, Stephen has multiple personalities, and low-level psychic powers. And did I mention that he's the one who physically gave birth to this kid?

You see, this is what we call "fiction." That means it isn't supposed to be real.

Enthusiastic father Stephen is always fun to write

The original punch line was one of Stephen's other "People tell me I'm white, and I believe them because..." lines. (The one about liking Jimmy Buffet albums.) But I liked the drinkable yogurt one much better than any of the previous options (and thought it was the one ickle!George was most likely to notice), so I changed it at the last minute.

And, yeah, it's probably better to comment on the links themselves. (If they're recent, at least.) But I'm glad they were useful

This is so sweet!!

I actually grew up colorblind until I was about six years old. My parents were hippies and determined to raise me and my brother without prejudice. They did a really good job. I was terribly confused the first time I heard about the race riots in California (I lived near L.A.) because I didn't see my black friends as being any different from me, so I didn't see why people would fight just because of the color of their skin.
