For *childrensillustrator 's Monthly Topic of November: "Red Boots"For this month's topic I knew I wanted to draw something that wouldn't normally wear boots. Then I pictured my cat Jingles outside in the rain with boots on, so that's what I drew! Except I made it snow instead to make it feel more peaceful and less depressing than a cat standing in the rain getting all wet! Besides, he's named after this time of year anyway, so why not have it snow? Jingles loves to be outside in all sorts of weather!

I see how it might be interpreted that way...but I saw it as a cat in beautiful snow with its head and tail held high...I dunno, it seems cheery to me!

yeah I was worried because it was "dark" and "cold" outside that it wouldn't give off the uplifting mood I wanted, but I'm glad you confirmed it still communicates that! I wanted him to be curious about the snow coming down
