Description ok, so why is it that when cats see something that they REALLY want to eat (alive, of course), they either start twitching their tail or chatter-meowing at it. it's a dead giveaway.
here we see maia chattering at something. i don't know what it was, because i was too busy taking the picture. in any event, she looks like she making some sort of really evil hissing noise or something. she's not evil, she's just photographed that way.

this is so funny! you realy caught a great expression! now try to get theFlehmen display

[Flehmening displaying is when a cat screws up its face, the lips curl back baring its upper and lower teeth allowing more chemical aromas to register in the Jackobsen's Organ. The Jackobsen's Organ is situated in the roof of the mouth in two sacs. In wild cats this aids in knowing the "lay of the land", and aids in knowing what other animals may be in close proximity. In the domestic cat this is not so important as with the wild cat and the flehmening reaction is not so obvious. The Jackobsen's Organ is also connected to the part of the cats brain concerned with sexual behaviour and appetite.]
