Yes but, it is more difficulter and you have more to carve. You also can seal the surface and heat the foam with a lighter. But this isn't easy

Love these.
Will these survive bad weather? I want to make my own (only ram-shaped) for Elfia but I don't want my headpiece to get ruined by bad weather (if there is bad weather).

Ermelyn In reply to tamaraR [2016-09-30 06:07:17 +0000 UTC]

rain is no Problem for these, the Foam has no problem with water and acrylic paint isn't water-soluble once dryed.
My own horns often get very wet.

This is great! Just curious. Do you have any ideas on how to make the horns detachable that way I can still use the wig without the horns?  Like I said this was wonderful! Hope to see more tutorials from you soon!

lordofstorms2000 In reply to RaindropCosplay [2014-08-11 23:36:02 +0000 UTC]

If you would like easy to detach horns or any head accessory I have had good results using a well fitting headband under the wig or attached under the wig.

once you have the headband secured you take 4 pairs of neodymium magnets (I recommend n42 1/4" disks from amazon or kj magnets co.) and glue them to the horns and headband they will stay on well when moving around a lot and are easy to remove. (be careful of electronics when removing or storing the horns/wig).

Ermelyn In reply to RaindropCosplay [2014-05-06 06:15:49 +0000 UTC]

maybe you can use something like a screw, which is fitted to a smal band on the inner side of the wig.

How did you sew the horns onto the wig? did you pull the thread through the foam? I have similar horns made out of styrofoam and I want to attach them to my wig, but I'm not sure of how yet.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ermelyn In reply to Seriphea [2014-02-13 07:09:49 +0000 UTC]

yes i pull the thread through the foam, but i dont know how this will work with styrofoam. Maybe its helpffull if you clue a pice of fabric at the ends where you will sew. This could prevent pulling off.

DarkshiCreations [2014-01-07 01:40:17 +0000 UTC]

How would you recommend using these without a wig being involved?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ermelyn In reply to DarkshiCreations [2014-01-12 19:55:17 +0000 UTC]

You can try it with a haiband but you have too hide it in any way.

jeejeezfurries [2014-01-06 05:09:17 +0000 UTC]

And also this is light and not heavy but just to be sure and not screw up... Can u install LED lights in or will it mess it up

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ermelyn In reply to jeejeezfurries [2014-01-12 19:57:32 +0000 UTC]

yes ist very lightwight. Installing LEDs would work, if you make chanals for the wires an holes for the Lamps at the outsite, but you cannot lihghten the hornes from inside.
