Hmmm, Lugia´s easier to draw then Ho-oh
I drew this, along with the next couple drawings he same day, but I moved, and don´t have internet, so I´m at a cafae right now, uploadin stuffs..
Just a 0.5mm HB Mechanical pencil used this time, keepin´ it simple

Not THAT many, lmfao. Ohh! So it's an old piece but you upload it now, right? Probably why I never saw it. Although, Lugia has 5 fingers. xD That doesn't matter, though, it still looks flawless. Mmm, you should do Ho-Oh next! Ho-Oh is so awesome to draw (I've never drew him but I love his shiny form...). Maybe I will soon, anyway, yeah this is awesome.

I think if you will do a lot of traditional art which you are doing (copying objects into a paper), then you shall memorize more things and you will draw even better from imagination.

Yeah that's true, xD I think also watching movies and other art also teaches you a lot, not that you should always copy them, but like, give you an idea for maybe an angle that you hadn't ever considered before, like your picture of blastoise from the bottom! xD

I shall say: imitatting is the best praise. And often other art keep us in "inspired" state, when we trying to draw as good as the artist which is inspiring us. It is like engine. I'm not saying to copy exacly the picture, this isn't the way, but to trying achevie the same efect, similar style as the artist we are looking at. Our goal should be "be as good as him/her". And eventualy we become better than him and we develop our own style.
As for me I treat life as one of the biggest inspiration

Yes, I've seen your sketches, I did notice in your earlier videos you actually showed the preliminary sketches in progress!!! I think you're a really good sketcher cX
Honestly, I only became like, half-mediocre at drawing becuase I wanted to be like some other artists I've seen here, it's envy! Of course I'm no where near their level yet but I want to surpass even THEM some day >:3

Thank you, sketches are the biggest part of my artwork, only a few are getting to the dA. I think like 80-90% of all my drawings (except my comic book) all sketches. Propably making more finished work is too boring for me >.<
In my mind sketch is the most important part of the art, of the doing art. It is when your ideas are crystalizing, when you make composition, add basic colours... If sketch suck, finished drawing will suck either. And it is the most entertaining part of the art. It is where your mind is working the most. I often comparing art process to sudoku. After sketch there is nothing else to do like clean the picture up. Boring. Everything is solved and you acting like when you are doing puzzle (not sure if it is clear so here is a picture: [link] ). Match one element to other, and that it is.

Speaking of pokemon cards, look at my Feraligatr, then look at this: [link] and then look again the card in my meme. Concidence?
I tried achieve something similar with little addition of my style. And I still think it is the fucking one of my best drawing. True is that Kawayoo is fucking awesome. And I fucking LOVE looking at his card arts. I have box with the Feraligatr and Typhlosion in my desk.
Hey it's good to do that, I think. As long you are not showing it to public and don't get money for that it is ok. I have done few X-men, Spidermen and Predator pictures for some random boy as well.

Your sketches are epic win sauce, but you know it already
omg holy shit that is so goooooood!!!!! It's like all painty and shit, but the color choice and shades are realistic, it's a meld that looks fantastic. I can tell you really love fearaligator and pokemon cards, to me some of the best art I've ever seen the most creative things, are in pokemon cards, there's this mew card that I freaking LOVE: [link]

Aww. It seems like every legendary I like, the other one is much more popular. Well, it at least seems that way.
I like Blastoise over Charizard. They aren't legendaries, but they were still the opposite versions.
