man i love the subject, but was there a better angle? i think if you could have taken it from the other side to leave out the newer building in the back it would have even been better but still its a good job!

There in Further not new building and the same years as you see not the foreground! And in general the purpose and feelings of a photo consist in feelings and emotions! It not seems to you?

Sorry for the late reply! I do wish photography like this would be noticed more often on the site - it blows everything else out of the water due to it's technical and creative skill. I love the contrast of the tones - you've done well with setting that up, feels like a very rich black and white film that you've used.
The shot itself is simple, yet tells us a story and shows us an area of the world that we otherwise would never have glimpsed.

I'm using a computer at my University right now, and the contrast on the monitor has been preset and locked - it's way to high so I can't see most of the shot - but I do like what I see. I'll be back to comment on this later when I can log into my computer at home.
