It just came out this way... If I could do something different, I'd
1. Completely close everything down so there's even less air circulating
2. get a bigger piece of black paper than I did
3. figure out a better way to light the smoke (I used an off-camera flash which, whatever I did, lit the black paper a bit, which can be seen here in the bottom right of the photo)
Other than that - fast exposure, small aperture and snap away - and may you have good luck
