That is the question. Whether 'tis nobler to be pompous and "serious" with one's art or succumb to the damn googly eyes, kittens, and babies. And pink. You can't forget the pink.

Welcome to my art dilemma. Me: serious personality with dark edge (just read my writing) who nonetheless has an annoying cute streak that giggles in the face of style consistency. I dumped it during college to get "real" art done. In all seriousness, though, I'm a big girl now with no professors left to please, so I can do what I want. I'm not sure where I want to go with my art, so I'm experimenting.

So far it looks like I like my cute mixed in black humor.

Why? It's probably for the same reason that I always wear my one (pink, frilly) dress with studded black leather spiked heels: to mess with people's expectations.
