It is unfair, but he's Megatron, he has no honor. And who knows, maybe a Decepticon Optimus would be good. He could see the war through their optics.

Of course Orion sees the war through the 'con optics, because he's one of them now. But because he has no memories of being Optimus he can't make anything of it... Unless he returns to being Optimus, switches back to autobots and keeps the memories of being Orion again. Only then it would make a difference, I believe.
