Maybe emotions are running high now that the breeding season has started? Or maybe it's just a quarrel between neighbours...
Before I took photos of this scene there was a pair of common terns on the log/root who seemed to be very interested in each other. Then both of them left and when one of the terns came back the next time it was attacked by this black-headed gull. The 'disagreement' only lasted a few seconds but it looked quite spectacular
Unfortunately my hiding spot was still a bit far away to get some really good shots but even if this isn't the highest quality I like the dynamics a lot
