Mk 1.5 of [link] ....more explanation on the original design there.
I removed some of the undesireable and controversial elements. I started to simplify but then realized I have no time right now so I just simplified part of it and posted a possible more-simplified sketch v. on the end.

About the sketch on the end.... if I get time/if I win, I will complete a much more simplified version of the design that would be easier to draw in a comic. this was my thought from the beginning, and also why I felt free to add lots of details. This is the sketch for a simplified design.
it looks the same at first glance, but most of the unnecessary details were left off.... therefore making it much simpler and easier to draw. I didn't simplify the boots down as much because the lower body is the least-drawn part of a character in a comic, and therefore wouldn't be drawn over and over again as much as the rest.
I left jewellery even on the simplifed design at the end because well..... viking--gold--- yeah. Ornaments were a sign of status. Loki always struck me as being a little vain.
I got rid of most of the celtic/viking looking designs on the ornaments..... except for the snake brooch on his cape, which I changed to a simpler design.
