I painted this fanart in 2000 for a friend (for her birthday more exactely) (she's an Escaflowne fan too)
I painted it with watercolor on a Japan watercolor paper. I used Winsord&Newtone watercolor (like all my watercolor paintings)
Size is 16.5" x 12.9" (42cm x 33cm)
(this drawing was difficult to scan............... with my standar scan size.......)
I am inspired to the 13th laser-disc cover drawn by Nobuteru Yuki to draw this fanart. (BUT I changed some details and characters's positions)

I am sorry for favoriting so many of your pictures, but I really couldn't decide which ones I liked the most. You really are talented, at drawing and I think you have converted me to a fan of this show (though I've never heard of it before). I think it is cool how you draw mostly in traditional. That's neat.

Escaflowne is a aniamtion, TV serie (26 ep) and one movie (1h35) the movie is not a prequel or not a sequel about the movie, it's a little different, but with the same staff (studio, character-designer, Yoko Kanno for the music too)
there is a manga, but it's completely diffΓ©rent! and awful!!! do not read it!! it's not the same thing in all points

I've been admiring your Escaflowne artworks for quite some time now so I just want to finally say that this image is really beautifully done. I love the contrast that can clearly be seen in the artwork and the texture is amazing! Screw those people who think this is hentai because honestly, it's totally beautiful.
