I hereby present to you Dakarai the Skuggdrake, a proud beast who took a leap out of my headworld to reveal himself to all of you.

I am very proud of this one. How he turned out. He took a crazy amount of time but it was well worth it! I do feel Ive taken a step in my sculpting now, impoved and gotten one bit closer toward my goal of becoming a artist able to live of my art. FIGHTO-OH! Hahaha. The only annoying thing is that the pictures doesnt make him justice, but I know for a fact that thats the problem all sculptors face.

MADE IN:
Dakarai is different than any other sculpture Ive made this far. First of I wanna point out that he is completely handmade by me, every step in the process I have done myself. His head and legs are sculpted and then casted, his body however is directly made from super sculpey, and so are his horns, ears and all the scales and details to his body and legs. His neck and tail are made of soft black faux fur and can be gently posed. He is painted with acrylics and sealed. Every single strand of tiny hair to his coat is sculpted one by one, every single scale is sculpted and placed one by one. All painted with small brushes, no airbrush.

Thats right, you can be the proud owner of your own Skuggdrake. As the head and legs are casted in resin I can make more of these guys, and YOU can be a part of it! Chose both color for fur and on sculpture. Decide on the details to his body, legs, and horns. Wings/fins/etc can be made no problem. There is a LOT of possibilitys to this, pretty much only your imagination holds the limit!

SPECIES INFO:
Skuggdrakar (Shadow-dragons) are old and wise beings - part horse, part dragon. Humans gave them the generic name Skuggdrakar (one Skuggdrake, several Skuggdrakar) because of their way of moving fast and graceful as shadows under the sun, as well as being mysterious, and if not careful, dangerous as the very darkness itself. In short they are also refered to as Skuggor (shadows).
Once Skuggdrakar roamed the world in hundreds, all kinds of them, different depending on were they lived, with different elements, colors and looks, strong, wild and free - no human could ever tame them or make them their property, instead they co-excisted side by side. Skuggdrakar lived in herds, they could turn hundreds and hundreds of years old, watching the worlds as it changed, how future became past...
But things changed, humans begun to fear what they couldnt control and rule over. They started to hunt Skuggor, killing them with firearms and deadly traps. Today these beautiful creatures are almost completely extinct, but some are left out there, just as proud and magical as ever before, hiding in their own parts of the world, the parts where humans obsession with control has not yet spread - still free as the birds in the sky, wild as the roaring seas.
You can not own a Skuggdrake, not make it your slave, neither with rope nor cages - it choose you. It look into your eyes and weigh your soul - good agains bad. If you are deemed worthy a skuggdrake will be the most loyal companion through your entire life, carry you on its back, defend you agains danger. If deemed unworthy you are instantly killed... but to take that chance is well worht it, I can promise you that.
