Cancer *is* scary, even from an academic point of view. It's basically your body imploding and all it takes is one cell. Granted, the chances of any cell becoming malignant requires like 4 or 5 infinitesimally-unlikely changes in a row, but when you have that many reproducing cells and a relatively long life time...
Anyways, where was I, yeah, this is a nice piece that really captures the fear and disarray that the disease causes.

do not think that having anxiety makes you lame...
I had panics attacks twice daily last summer because I was scared of throwing up. It is hard to deal with and every one has their own way to either rationalize the fear or reduce it... Hopefullly you will find it....
