Cornflower of my favorite flowers and has a lot of meaning to me.
As a french woman, it is about patriotism and to show respect for the people who sacrificed themselves and those who are still engaged today to defend our country.
There is an organisation called "Bleuet de France" which has this flower as its symbol. This association was created at the beginning of the XXth century, to help the veteran soldiers from WWI.
Nowadays, this association is here to support soldiers, war victims, wards of the nation and victims of terrorism. They also support cultural and pedagogic projects about our country memory. You can know more about it, here : www.onac-vg.fr/les-missions-du…
I love cornflowers because they are one of the only flowers to be still able to grow on battlefields, representing the power of life over death and chaos.
Cornflowers are also a symbol of wealth, abundance and good fortune. In ancient times, this flowers were also used to attract love.
