Description This is my beloved Westphalian gelding Freixenet. I love him so much. He does almost everything for me!

I don't know how this trick is called in English, it's "Knien" in German and "A genoux" in French.

It could be a kneel but I don't know horse terms. o3o Like a man would kneel to propose a marriage to a woman. That wouldn't be bowing... o3o It's so cool to have a horse. I don't have one. ;o;

In English, I think it's 'bow', or 'bow on all knees', for the literal translation from French! But he is so beautiful! You've got a lovely horse there!

Thank you! Yeah, there are so many different ways to bow, I wasn't sure if they all have the same name in English.

Hi Beau Arrow! Thank you!
I'm not sure because there are different ways to bow for a horse.
I'll show you the other versions later.
A horse can just lower his forhand and lean backwards, with both frontlegs stretched forwards. Or it "knees" on one frontleg and has the other one stretched forward. Or, like in this picture, it knees on both frontlegs.

I don't know if there's a special term for the different tricks in English, in German they are
"Verbeugung" (both legs stretched) or "PliΓ©"
"Kompliment" (one leg strechted)
and "Knien" (what you can see on this photograph).

But it's possible that in English it's all the same

Haha, you're welcome. I don't think there's words for those different ways of bowing, but I just know there's a horse at the barn I ride at that can "bow", as you explained, with one front knee down and the other foreleg stretched out.

That's cool that you have all those words for it!

Typical German - everything needs it's own expression haha!

Thank you for your help!
