Bearded Dragon's make fantastic pets for first time reptile keepers. They're easy to handle and tame, and have an excellent temperament. They're omnivorous too, so make sure you know what veggies they can and can't eat as well as properly fed insects! I keep a male beardie named Spyro; he turned two this year. :3
Just be prepared to spend lots of money on equipment, they need UV lighting, which must be replaced every six months and a basking lamp, not to mention a vivarium large enough and decorations, such as logs/rocks and hiding places.
Also, crickets are loud. You have been warned. x3

Yes, definitely. If I wasn't at university, I would have one. In the meantime, I am trying to learn how best to take care of them. I've never owned a reptile.

Yes, such as crickets and mealworms, but they'll eat several insects.
