This turned out pretty awesome! Too bad you didn't make it to the contest but it's still so amazing. Great job!

yeah I wanted a hero that could still work in Princess tutu, since I don't think Magical Gril shows are that different from superheros, the only iconic things that are magical girl are being adolescent girls (but wait there is Batgirl, and the girls form the Runaways, Buffy, and x men), transformation senescence that takes 10 seconds to minutes to finish (but I've seen transformation senescence in DC and Marvel heroes in their old movies and tv series, not any more for I guess Western audiences didn't understand or like things keeping them from the action, but they didn't go as long than maybe 7-5 seconds, but it is mostly seen in Magical girl series now), short skirts (no wait... Wonder Woman did wear a short skirt before her new/old uniform design, oh and SuperGirl) naming of attack moves (but that's not strictly Magical girl, that's also in fighting games and am sure Adam West named a few of his Bat attacks.....I wonder if "I AM A MAN" punch counts as a attack move name *lol* ) hmmm...getting powers from science or magic (no that how more than half of the superheroes get it) and they all fight for good, have sidekicks; human, animal or other
The only thing I think that really separates Superheroes from Magical girls are just animation style, and capes (but they are plenty of Superheros without capes Sipderman Deadpool, x-men, plenty of other Marvel heroes I think a few DC, but I don't follow DC anymore) an a person can be a Superhero without any supernatural powers like Batman, the Watchman (expect Doctor Manhattan), Jonah Hex, Kick Ass, Captain AMerica (MY FAV AVANGER OHMYGOSH WHEN WILL THE DVD GET RELEASED ALREADY) oh and while on Avengers plenty of non-powered people there (AND OH MYGOSH WHY ISN'T IT MAY ALREADY!!!!!) and...oh wait... did I start geeking out about Superheroes again and its comparisons to Magical girls ...I should just write my senior thesis on it, if it would count
but anyway yeah, if Princess Tutu was a dark superhero Comic I'll like it to be Fakir, for he had that one costume in that one episode and it was such a waste, the potential it could of had!!!!! and I love a good vigilante superhero and He already has his own birthright powers, he could discover a way to fight against the whole world and try to keep it the way he likes it, safe from the destiny of the princes knight. Who falls in battle. Than Tutu with her determination and hope will keep the gears turning continuing the story Fakir wishes will stay unturned, and they will stay in a neverending story until The Dark Knight And Tutu unite to end Drosselmeyers tale
that and I think Duck and her friends would of made an adorable fanclub/scooby gang trying to catch sightings of The Dark Knight around town
