Description ...Ve Yaradan, yerin topragindan adam yapti ve onun burnuna, makami gizli bir nagme ufledi. Adam bu nagmenin guzel oldugunu gordu. Cunku adam artık yasiyordu ve onu yasatan da bu nefes idi. -- Suskunlar, Ihsan Oktay Anar

---

...And the Creator, made man out of soil and blew a secret tune into his nose. Man saw that this tune was beautiful. Because man was now alive, and what made him live was this breath. -- Suskunlar, Ihsan Oktay Anar

ah, I didn't know that.. it's the same in Turkish too (that's what I named this one after), probably passed on from Arabic in Ottoman times
thanks for the comment

whoa, excellent rendering quality (extremely smooth!) and a very beautiful colour scheme together with interesting spiraling patterns... rock on!

yea, I'm only now learning the vital details of apo rendering.. I used to use the defaults, but now that I have a decent computer, I can experiment with those filter radius and oversampling values..
glad you like the colors, I'm quite fond of them too

Oooh, very nice gradient choice. I don't see this color combination that often, and it's great to see you put it to good use. What gets me, though, are the fading lines that seem to overlap each other. It looks awkward to me, as I would've expected to see something like this a little more solid. No worries, though. Great job.

That's interesting to hear, because those lines were among my favorite things about this piece This was supposed to be a smooth piece too (the name means "breath"), so I guess it has the intended effect glad you like it, thanks for the comment

I love the coloring, and the textures here are terrific. It's very liquidy, very mobile, like jellyfish moving so fast they're a blur. Gorgeous work!

The triangle sticks out a bit as far as relation to its surroundings. Too much yellow with out orange, I think.

Otherwise, I believe the only word is "beautiful". Maybe "Awesome" in the "Awe inspiring" way, too... Most excellent work.

esintu In reply to Atalhlla [2008-01-28 22:30:37 +0000 UTC]

yea, the triangle really stands out in the midst of all the smooth curves, but that was the nature of the fractal, so I had to let it be. Could've done something to enhance the coloring there though, you're right.. but then, it didn't disturb me all that much, until you pointed it out. I'll check what I can do with it

thanks for the comment, glad you find it beautiful. It really started to mean something to me after I associated it with the book (not with the above quote only), so I find it very soothing to look at (which is a very personal reaction)
