this is brilliant. i like the curve of the body/trunk, looks well proportioned and easily recognisable as both aspects of itself. i have often enjoyed creating pieces like this, in which humanity and nature are intertwined in such a way to represent how our destinies are inexplicably intertwined.

My scans have always turned out to be washed out and faded colors... But the photos never look all that crisp... Until I learn digital art it seem my artwork with have poor quality in presentation.

Yeah, scans usually need some little touch up, most of the time with turning up contrast/ darker colors. It does help to get closer to the original's look. =3
