I really love the separation of movement and static in this. It emphasisis the isolation is really beautifully.

I was looking for shots from Paris from dA and this one sure was to stand out among the numerous photos of the Eiffel tower.
The expression on the man's face is brilliant, I love these everyday seconds that get to be captured. It's like he knows something others don't, a big secret. The meaning of life perhaps. And meanwhile the other passengers just sit there, going on with their business, reading books, getting up when their station is up.
I also like the two levels here, the crowded metro and the movement outside. How the doorway sets these two worlds apart.
I miss Paris. The metro even, though it took a while to get used to it. Glad to experience it through other's photos, though, so thank you for sharing!
