I don´t like to see Ruby angry, i feel it´s unnatural. She was mad cause for Skullboy is more important to find his relatives and he doesn´t care she has accompanied him so far. Silent Hill and Carcer City are cities of two horror videogames (where are not skeletons) and skullboy ignores the danger, blinded by his search. Ruby feels pity for him cause he is very lonely and wants desperately find his relatives, at certain point she confused compassion with love however she doesn´t knows it. In the TV show there´s an important function of Ruby´s love to Skullboy: since she lives with other girls she needed a relationship with a boy for show her heterosexuality, but she only know fairy tales love; she still haves a lot to learn and skull boy may be the first but probably not the only and neither the best.
