Description After the second day of the Pixar seminar, which was all about posing, movement, design, animation, etc., I decided to experiment a little with using the line of action method, which we learned about. (We learned about it on both days actually, thinking a little more about it.) Zeke and Mimi, as always, were my test subjects. I'm planning on doing some more of these types of drawing in the near future, because it's a lot of fun, and also a really interesting way of looking at posing.

The two Mimis really make me laugh, honestly. But they were a lot of fun to do, like I said. I don't know what else to say about them, really, so I suppose I'll leave it at that.

I'll bet! Did they talk to you about getting jobs there?

Not to the whole class, no. It was mostly people who were a little older (in their mid 20s up to their 40s, with a few that were even older,) who already had jobs in various places and were really just there to learn more.

Nice posing there. How do you do all those creases in the clothes, seriously?

Thanks~ And, I started working creases/folds/draping into my art about three or four years ago. About halfway between then and now I worked out what is pretty much the style I use now. Really it's just practice and observance - the first time I really worked out that there were other fold types besides just random lines, I was looking at a photo-realistic sculpture; I noticed the rounded creases in their suit sleeves. It all went downhill from there. Mostly it's just about knowing how clothing acts and where to drape it on the body. Where it'll bunch, where it'll lie flat, etc. At first I really disliked draping, but now it's one of my favorite things about drawing!

This turned into a small novel OTL. I'm sorry. I am very enthusiastic about drawing clothes, trololo. xDD

-cough- This isn't meant as self-pimping at ALL, but, there is a little bit about how I drape in here . It's not much, but. ;A;

lol its find don't worry about it. You obviously enjoy doing it since put so much detail in the clothes you draw. I'll have to try some of those tips in there next time I actually get off my lazy ass and manage to draw something.
