Description
"Eternity"
Acrylic gouache on 300 lb. watercolor paper, 22x30 in.
Prompt was to create a painting with ten objects that start with the first letter of your name(in my case, "B",) with a complimentary color scheme. If you can guess all my words, a thousand kudos, because some of them are subtle.
This was my first time using acrylic gouache, and I successfully developed a strong love-hate relationship with it. It's beautiful, vibrant, but quite a bit of a pain to work with. None the less, despite the healthy dose of frustration, this was a super fun and exciting assignment! I still have a lot to work on in this painting(mostly in the lower half of the middle panel,) but I thought I'd share this with you guys as it is so far. Thank you!
Digital reproduction of this is definitely not spot on, so hopefully, when I finish and re-shoot it, the quality will be better.

Holy, exquisitely magnificent! The Gorgeous Character and Panda Bear are stunning and The Scenery looks incredible! The expressions, poses, cherry blossom tree, plant life, river,designs, fur, movement, interaction, eyes, bridge, cuteness, atmosphere, textures, realistic-ness concept, composition, uniqueness, colors, lighting, style, and other details are also wonderful! Amazingly beautiful work!

I swear, this is by far one of THE most incredible paintings I have ever come across ;w;
I love the color scheme you went with, and how brilliantly you made it work!
I also adore all the precious textures here >w< the boys skin and ridiculously perfect hair, the soft yet impressionistic looking fur on the panda, the rocks with their perfect amount of reflectiveness, and the bamboo and blossoms setting such a placid and touching mood for the picture... just plain incredible ;w;
I also really love how even though there's not more than half his face showing, you can still tell just how enchanted the child looks, it's adorable!
and not to mention, you've got this medium down incredibly well! better than anyone else I've encountered anyway XD

Thank you so much for everything! You are way too nice to me. I have to say, the hair and fur were a blast to paint, but the face was the bane of my existence for the greater half of this project, so I'm glad it turned out alright!

Yet again your work amazes me! I love this, you did so well with the colour scheme and I love how the image is split, what a creative idea. I may have to steal the challenge, as I think it would be so much fun to do! Hard to believe that you produced something so amazing even though it was your first time using gouche! (Is that a type of paint? It has wonderful textures)

Yes, gouache is a type of paint-- namely, an opaque watercolor. My instructor had us use acrylic gouache, a variation bound by acrylic polymers(basically, a matte acrylic paint,) which dries unrevivable and is known to be more forgiving when painting.
