Thank you very much!
Well, being a developing artist myself, I am not sure if I am the best person to be asking for advice. Anyhow, if I were to chose one of the most important things I have learned thus far to tell you, if would be: Draw for yourself, and learn from yourself. Don't draw things only because you think would please or impress others(Unless it is a commission or request, or anything of that nature.), or gain an audience. I believe that these are terrible reasons to spend time on a drawing, no matter how big or small. It eventually makes you lose sight of the reason you love art. For me, acting this way has taken away inspiration, and set me through inevitable art blocks, for seemingly no reason at all. It's driven me to forget my passion, and has also impacted my character, and the way I come across; arrogant and excuse my language, an attention whore. After going through a phase like this and reconnecting with my true "self", I learned how valuable art was to me, and how useless and parasitic my efforts were on both myself and my art. ...And trust me, drawing things I truly wanted to and loved gained me a much larger audience than drawing what I thought people wanted to see.
Also: There are no shortcuts in art. But don't be easily discouraged! Hard work always pays off!
