I have never read the Pimpernel and don't really have much right to commen, but I will.
I love the charcter he is sweet faced and looks trusting, the pose look very gentlemanly and Yeah little kitty, though I hate cats, but this one doesn't look like it would hurt me.
I likes the shading on thes piece though only one thing I would say is the cloak on his arm doesn't look like it should, don't want to be picky but on person once said I knew how the put creases in clothes and I am gonna use that as my only think I can comment on. The rest of his cloak looks fine.
The harness of the horse looks great and has a texture to it, even though you haven't textured it the lighting tricks you into seeing texture, same thing with the gloves.
The background is not that nice and the colour of the sky does take my eye away from the man, the moon looks great (me being silly at moon watching) am guessing there is light coming form the fishermans rest.
I love the eyes on all three and the face of kitten is so cute, yeah

YAY! Scarlet Pimpernel art!!! And Lord Antony Dewhurst! That's even better! I love the book and the many movies. Especially the ones starring Richard E. Grant as Sir Percy Blakeney. ^_^ Anyway, love the artwork and I would love to see the animated version of the book!
