I also think the colors are too bright especially skin color (it's too difficult to blending skin color *faint) I still practice for making skin blending well, But I will try my best for next artwork.... ^ ^
And about the background, at the beginning I want to make library, but the colors was not matching with the chara (there are too much brown color at BG (cause the library are the old type =.
And at the end I used abstrat texture for the BG.... =.= I also didn't know why I do that.... My hand moved its own *slappp

Yeah it's true that skin color is a bit hard. I have to mix skin colors each time when I use watercolors anew since I don't have a premade skin color on my watercolor palette. I'm sure your next work will be awesome too!
And I know what you mean and how you feel xD I sometimes struggle so much with bg that I get upset in the end no matter what kind of bg I do.

yeah I tried out digital few times but I don't really like it so I work only traditionally nowadays.

Hmm that's sad :/ I think there are those glasses for people who work a long time in front of PCs (some gamers are using them), perhaps you should think of getting it? But I don't know how expensive such things are.
