Description Second Archon pic, but actually the first I did. I actually got inspired with this idea when Stonemason released his Cryo Chamber set at Daz (In fact, without Stonemason this little project probably wouldn't be possible at all). My thoughts for these chambers in this universe are that they are not there to sustain life over long periods of time but rather to protect the living tissue from the effects of the drive system employed by intersteller vessels. Therefore organic materials can't be transported without expensive containment facilities, which may or may not be a plot device for later on in the story!!!!

I know the chains and hanging pipes are a little 'Nostromo' like, but I wanted to continue the grungy, well used theme for the Texas Rose that I set up with the exterior shot.

dzfire (Also Daz3d) for the robot, who is the crew's guardian whilst they are in suspended animation...NOT a reference to Prometheus, just seemed like a good idea.

Another stunning piece! I love your Archon series. I would love to have more information about it as it looks truly astonishing. If that's ok for you to share a bit more about Archon, could you please enlighten me?

It's a story that isn't really fully developed yet as I keep getting new ideas, but the main thrust of it centres around a new crew member of the Texas Rose that isn't all she says she is, covert missions, mysterious alien artifacts that may or may not be dormant, rival corporations fighting on a distant world to control this alien technology, and the crew of a small intersteller freighter caught up in the middle of it all.

Thanks for your kind comments and the faves...

Oh, and I may have to leave it for a while as someone has asked me to do some rpg card art for them...but that's not a certainty yet.

Thanks a lot for the reply. The story sounds very interesting and promising. Hopefully you will have some time to develop it and to work on it even further. Until then I'll keep an eye on your work and will continue adding your art to my favourites

So waht if you are using the Nostromo trope. It works, and adds that little touch that lifts this straight up. add to it your style and it becomes yours. I love this

Superb! Excellent composition and I like the way the bluish glass enhances the monochrome tone of the scene.

The original was far more monochrome, but I decided to add some more colour as it was looking a bit drab. Thanks for the comments

The image suggests the open pod belongs to the droid. But if the drive only effects organics then why does he need one? Maybe it's not a droid, but an extensive cyborg?

Interesting idea, but no, there are probably spare pods, and in this scene some of the other crew are already awake, but elsewhere on the ship...Using this and the next few images to show the ship's interior.
