Samhain is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the "darker half" of the year. Most commonly it is held on 31 October – 1 November, or halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. Along with Imbolc, Beltane and Lughnasadh it makes up the four Gaelic seasonal festivals. It was observed in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. I'm Sorry but the pentagrams look really cheap and silly and they aren't even the celtic type so it makes the rest kinda look a bit poser'ish... Sorry just my opinion I my self live in a country that has really deep pagan roots so I'm very sensitive about such things

Thank you, The herbs are rosemary and sage , The wand is from a branch of an old Rowan tree with a quartz crystal inserted into it the handle is of leather with a pheasant feather attached. Blessed Be..)0(..

Hi, sorry for the delay, The crystals are for energy,the wand is a working tool and for directing energy,the bell is for calling the quaters and the ancestors, the pumpkin is a representation of the fruits of the earth (any fruit or vegatable will do), the candles represent light and dark (hence black and white)the thin veil between the two worlds ,life and death. thus the altar is set for Samhain which is the autumn equinox when night and day are equal. it will be my pleasure ,i prepare an alter for all the celegrations of the pagan wheel of the year ,i have been a practising witch for as long as i can remember and run my own coven in england. unfortunatly many people still hold negative thoughts about paganism, as you know its more a way of life than a religion its just following the cycles of mother earth and being at one with nature and respecting what she gives us and i am glad to say i have many converts to how peacefull true paganism really is .
