Can you not see, I have no tears in my eyes?Can you not hear, I have no cries in my voice?
Can you not feel, my deep bitter pain within?
Can you not taste, my sweet fallow sorrow without?
But I do, I do most mercifully have
the bristled brush in my clumsy hand
the faded ink upon the sodden paper
And these are my voiceless tearless pain for

artist

these
are
his tears
his cries
an
artist

why does he do art?
why indeed?

I said, "Because my eyes have no more tears."
So they asked, "Why do your ink always bleed?"
So I said, "Because my heart has no more love."
Then they asked, "But why are you smiling thus?"
And thus I said, "Because there is no more Hope."
And so to him
who is no more
I asked, "Who are you to drag me up?"
He said, "I am you and you are me."
So I asked, "Why do you wish to hurt me so?"
So he said, "I only wish that you would live."
Then I asked, "It will hurt if you are here."
And thus he said, "But life will end, if I am done."

I really like this... it compliments with the poem so well, and it's really aesthetically pleasing. It somehow, reveals truth, no, it does reveal truth... But what does it tell us? Is hope a pointless/ weakness we have?

the drawing is stunning...your style is really amazing..F a n t a s t i c ! ! ! ! ...the layout of the image expresses (to me) the sensation of confusion one can find him/herself in..the croud ..of people and thoughts.. that generates around us..demanding something, or simply existing..and therefore trying to croud up our mind, when all one would like would to be in peace because the emotions within sometimes leave us..barren...or just numb for a while....only thing left, our desire..which craves within us, hurting but keeping us alive in those moments in which all you would like would be to be left alone and linger in that state...and just....let go....
..i love what you wrote..it really gets to me...
i dunno if this is what you wanted to express, but it is what i percieved...well probably just a bunch of babbleing
