Description A dragon with the ability to create an nigh impregnable wind barrier around itself certainly makes for an interesting card in Magic the Gathering. The wind barrier is able to push back most things, unless the Daora is stunned, amongst other conditions. Rather than use something boring like shroud or even cloak, I had the "wind barrier" counter anything and everything that was pointed in the general direction of the Elder Dragon. Originally it only worked against opponent's stuff but that looked really awkward with the single target clause, I took it off and gave the dragon vigilance. Cause what good is a nigh untargetable dragon if it can't attack without being exposed?

Minor nitpick: Elder Dragon is two types, not a single hyphenated one. It was printed on five cards originally from Legends, and five more in Dragons of Tarkir.

No, go for it. In fact, I encourage it but do run it by your playgroup first. I'm not sure how good he'd be. Might be super powerful or disappointing. Keep me posted on your experiences with it.

Hrm, blue's plenty powerful these days between all the new Leviatha and Sphinx they've been printing and what not.

I would kill for a card like this. Or hell a whole deck of your MH cards.

Unnecessary complication here. Just remove the if it's untapped part, since it's too unlikely for it to be tapped outside of a spell or ability tappping it, which would be countered anyways. With Vigilance it makes no sense, though the card itself is by no means overpowered (Compares disfavorably to Jwar Isle and probably Magosi Sphinxes.)

I originally had a tap ability on it. I guess I forgot to edit out the untapped bit. I might just put back the tap ability, who knows.

Yea, my friend hasn't been ranting on and on about it much lately and he's my well of ideas for the series so that's why. But with MH Tri on the horizon, he's been sparking up about it so expect a couple more soon.

The weapon change from the portable is a bit of a jump though. Dual blades and bows are gone, as are hunting horns. Bowguns are also drasticly different.

Withous Db, sword becomes the combo expert, but isn't any better than it was before. At least it still has guard and item combo. Bowguns really don't replace bows at all, and thier new complexity will turn most people away. I was never a big fan to begin with anyway.... As for the hunting horn, only hammer users like me who were willing to do support on big hunts really mind.

What does vigilance do? That's one ability I couldn't figure out.

Vigilance basically means "Attacking doesn't cause this creature to tap."
