As this prison is suffocating
Physically weak, mentally fading
I need fresh air
And some loving care
Not dark and stale
Accused to fail
This life is not my own
Living to feel alone
Mind warped by approval and fear
Getting worse year by year
Unable to open my mouth and cry out
I search for a way to diminish self doubt
Lost and confused, blind by what's ahead
As I grasp for a true sign, before I'm dead
Knowledge gained
Myself to blame
The enemy is me
As only I can set myself free
