Glaze is Rime's mother and only other living relative, why? because dragons eat each other. Glaze's father was a comedian who named her, he was eaten by an elder dragon that didn't laugh at his stand up. Her mother was a Cop who died in the line of duty when she was in her 20's. Glaze also had several siblings, but they got eaten by other dragons, mainly Preya the dragon muncher. Glaze later married her Husband who was a fisher dragon. Unfortunately, He was eaten by a sea dragon after she laid Rime's egg. Glaze Had to work very hard to support Rime, working two jobs to get her through school, and three jobs to get her through cooking school. Ice dragons traditionally raise their offspring by themselves as Lizard ma'mes can't survive in cold environments, and while her life was incredibly difficult she tried her very best to be there for Rime. Unfortunately, when Rime told her that she might be interested in a non-dragon what little honor and pride she had compelled her to make Rime take a ritual to purge those feelings. When she found out later what the ritual actually does to the caster she was filled with regret, especially because Rime stopped talking to her after the incident.

After Rime restored Frostlore castle Glaze decided to follow her own dream of being an actor by starting in some small time plays before she landed her first big role in a Christina Claus film. She hopes to fix her relationship with Rime in the future
