I didn't write any actual fics when I was younger, but I used to roleplay a lot with OCs. But surprisingly, they weren't Mary-Sue at all. I tended to make them unusually weak and full of problems. Then they weren't as exciting. But at least people didn't hate them.
Yeah, only I ended up hurting other people instead of myself. O___O
