Save yourself a ton of money and wait for one to go on sale on Yahoo!Japan (one pops up every year or so). Even with the conversion rate, using a middleman service, and shipping, it'll still be significantly less than this insane price. These plush are not worth that much, not by a long shot. Maybe MAYBE $1500. And only maybe. The Pokecenter Giants are rare, but not impossible to find. Save money, put it aside, and don't give it to someone who is trying to scam you with an outrageous price. If she put this guy up on ebay with a normal starting price (you know, $100?), it would go for it's worth and I can guarantee you that would not be anywhere near what she's trying to get out of you for it.

Awesome. What's your goal- and by how long? What's also the estimated time you think you'd save to the full amount? ^_^ If it's within a year or half of a year, I think I should allow for a down payment and for it to be placed on hold for ya.

My goal was to save about $300 to $500 or so per paycheck making it so that I'd have $2,000 in about 2 months or so. Now, one thing I wanted to ask was if I could get it for a little less. I'm not trying to rob you or anything, but I'm also trying to save for a house. If not that's ok, just that it will take me longer to save but currently I've got about $300 saved for him. If you want to work out a payment plan we can do that, but let me know what your idea is, because I really REALLY would like to have him. :3

So just so I'm 100% certain, $5,000 is as low as you will go? I have to agree with Eevee4Ever I do think the price is kinda high. NOT to say that I'm not willing to save up for him (again I mention the $300 already specifically designated for him) but I do understand their value, and I know the fact that you're even willing to sell him is a feat all on it's own. But I think my family would stone me if I spent that much on a plush. So, what about 2 or $3,000? But if this is a no-haggle price, I understand, I will just have to make the necessary steps to save appropriately. Either way please hold him for me. <3

Sorry, i've considered 2-3 grand for many months. I am a big fan of giant plush, especially rare things ^^ It's just a personal preference i'd be uncomfortable with less than $5,000. :<

[link] these are more rare than the Giants because they were lottery wins... They're still cheaper than yours. You should seriously reconsider your asking price. 1,000 each is more reasonable. They aren't as rare as you think. Just because they are not for sale any where does not make them rare. I have 1 of a kind custom made for me pokemon figures but it doesn't make them rare nor expensive. If you are serious about selling them I would drop your price by a lot. I am a serious collector and have a big enough collection of pokemon to open my own museum. What I post on DA is about 1/3 of my collection...and rising

Er, it's not that i'm looking for some kind of profit things and dont appreciate having them. It is more like I do not wish to give up something I like if it's under a certain price value. I understand, however. I'd just rather hold onto them unless a lot is offered just because of my personal values of the items to myself (which can be far different to each and every single person) which can be taken personally. I do feel it is not smart if someone wants to sell something and 'needs' the money, but that's just not where i'm at right now. Far too many people make false assumptions and that needs to be changed that it's just a personal thing to me, I have seen many of them sell for 1-2 thousand dollars but these are better condition and I love brand new looking items, it's just my personal choice i've made and my personal values of the plush.

I understand you feel personally you wouldn't want to sell them for less, meaning you have an attachment to them. If you don't want to sell them than don't. But if you are really serious about selling them, even a serious collector wouldn't buy them for that much. I know it's not what you want to hear but you also have to consider the economy right now as well. It's very hard to ask for that much for fabric and stuffing.

and a little edit: they were used for decorations in the store but after the release of the movie and the release of Crystal, they had begun working on the Hoenn region so they were trying to advertise for that in the early 2000s so they were selling them and I just happened to be there

I know right. I have all 3 giant legendary dogs in storage because they're too big for my room that I got from Japan when Pokemon 2000 was first released and they were only 100$ each. I'd never try to sell them for 5,000 a piece. It's ridiculous.
