Description
The Nameless One makes his epic return to the battle contest world. this time in the Crucible of the Damned.

for those of you who arent familiar with my past entries, Nameless is the first character, and byfar, my most favorite, to be introduced to the public. even with all that has been revealed about him, there are still so many surprises i never got the chance to reveal in his first and second run. so heres to hoping i can truly, finally, expose his story.

a basic overview of his abilities. he's first and foremost a swordsman at heart. but everyone knows that the skills with a sword are only as strong as the body can allow. people exist who can go above and beyond, but eventually, mortality will catch up to the swordsman sooner or later. and where will he be then?

this, combined with the pressing need to acquire the widest range of skills he can manage, has pushed the Nameless One to learning the magical arts. he has been versed in atleast utilizing all the basic necessary elemental forms. he also has a somewhat strong understanding of low to midlevel arcane type magic (transmutation, barriers, etc.) . he excels at using the fire element, capable of destroying near anything with his fire mastery. he also excels at illusionary magic, though in battle, against truly skilled foes, he rarely gets a chance to rely on illusions to do more than simply annoy the opponent.

The Nameless One also goes into battle blindfolded. this does not mean he is blind, but merely that he is training his other senses. to be ready for his fight against Hell, he has to be ready to combat creatures who may be able to manipulate his senses. thus, he strives to increase the range at which all his senses can operate.

his eyes cannot see, nor be seen, with the blindfold on. but a visible dark red and/or dull white glow has been noted on the instances people have seen his shadowed face. the reasons for this are unknown.

it is also worth noting that his right eye has been revealed... once.

the Nameless One is somewhere in his late fifty's, and his age is catching up to him. his body can no longer maintain the incredible running speed he had in the prime of his years, and his body's natural strength is in a state of decline, but the speed of his arms even now continues to grow and his upper body strength is only just begining to plateau. This makes it exceptionally difficult for an opponent to get in close range for an attack, but atacking from a distance, or running away, a bit easier. the nameless one has countered the weaknesses in this by flawlessly blending his knowledge of arcane magic to aid him. he has been known to artificially boost his speed, teleport, or even abandon the blade entirely and switch to elemental attacks.

his methods and tactics for protecting the Earth Realm are questionable at best, with a few of his victims killed under the justification of the greater good. he is rarely merciful, though he does have rather strict ethics. anyone he percieves as an immediate threat are dispatched of in a quick and efficient manner, regardless of age, gender, background. though the number of conflicts he has encountered has remained relatively stable through the years, his death toll has been on the rise, for reasons unknown. some see him as a power hungry madman, others see him as a hero, but few know his dark shattered past.

1. basic appearance: the dark crimson cloak covers the Nameless Ones body from the shoulders down. The original intention is to interfere with his opponents vision and allow him to strike from under the flowing cloth. it also serves to hide the plates of his armor, to make striking at potential weakpoints harder. the weapon shown here is the Cursed Scythe of Rakanishu. which contains the soul of his infamous demon companion. its rare for the Nameless One to actually use the weapon in one on one combat, since it is mainly Rakanishu's weapon of choice, but he can easily utilize it.

2. The Katana - is his primary weapon of choice. tempered throughout his life to cut down anything and everything that threatens him or humanity's fate. in recent times his katana has been seen shapeshifting from its ordinary look, to a more intricate looking form with an ornate demonic hilt. it is unknown what this new feature is for.

3. twin broad stilettos - crafted for piercing attacks, yet sturdy enough to withstand blocking most heavy weapon attacks. they are also used as energy anchors, and focusing tools, though nameless rarely uses them for the simple fact that he prefers his katana. they usually see use for when nameless is preparing an exceptionally taxing spell.

4. a disassembled view of his plating. provided for the simple fact that no one seems to know how to draw his armor right. ok i dont blame those that have tried...

the armor is a hybrid cross between the heavy full body armors europe is famous for, and the light highly maneuverable japanese samurai armor. the forearm bracers are lengthened considerably to protect the elbow more to do away with the bulky joint guards, and thickened to serve as somewhat miniature shields. nameless has grown accustomed to this extra weight, and his arms deal with the load as if it doesnt exist.

the nameless one also weilds an impressive japanese nodaichi, but rakanishu now stores that weapon inside his alternate dimensional stomach, where souls and bodies are preserved.

since i introduced the nameless one so long ago, i've (hopefully) learned alot and acquired new skills since then, so the following links will probably not be up to the current standard im at right now... since they're so old...

i decided to try sticking to the original painted style i tried for in my earlier representations of him. hopefully i didnt dissapoint.
