Hm... the tail's a bit off. Horse tails don't actually have a muscular or bone tail, but only long hairs that come out of their butt. That's why their hairs are used in violin bows and stuff.

Without any tailbone or muscles, they wouldn't be able to move it around at all. It may not be seen very often or too clearly, but a horse's tail hairs are connected to a short tail called the dock. It may not be very long, but it's under there.
Of course, our ponies hardly resemble real horses at all and are stylized like crazy.

One thing I noticed, Ditzy Doo is missing her cutie mark.

As for her cutie mark, even though we all know what it is, it's never described in any detail in the book as far as I know. Also, in one of the later chapters when Ditzy is telling her cutie mark story, Pip mentions that she couldn't tell what her mark used to be, so I figured it was either gone or marred up too bad to recognize.
That's just my interpretation though.
