"Didn't Get Dressed Up For Nothin'" is the proper title.Just couldn't fit it in the space allowed.
A little quick illo put together. The horses actually turned out pretty terrible if I do say so myself.
What was really important though was just finishing a simple drawing for a change - unlike a project, I have tons of these unfinished drawings everywhere; all half drawn and ages old.
I like the guy kneeling with the "horse killer" and the cleric in the foreground.
I gained an idea from doing this illo: towards the right side, and amongst the spears, do you see something on a staff that appears to be a standard of some sort with tendrils flowing to the right? I've got plans for that. . . .

Haha, nice title XD I can relate with the whole unfinished illustration thing.. The only pieces I actually finish are the more recent ones I've put up on dA. This is done with marker? I really would like to get better acquainted with that medium... but there's something about it.. that requires such commitment with the usage... I'm too chicken haha

aww just the one horse looks a bit off. the head is a wee bit too big, and the left leg should be moved just a tiny bit back. he's standing more like a dog than a horse.
but since you said it was just to finish something then it doesnt matter. these kinds of illos are always good for practice!
Lord, i have boxes and boxes of these kinds of things.. and they dont compare to half the unfinished art in my computer!!

You're right about the horse's leg: Now, he is supposed to be facing straighter on than the one in front, nonetheless it is awkward. Thank you G!

lol i've never been good with perspective. i know there is a process to line things up properly but..... i never can get it right. i just eyeball it. and to be honest, Sir Edwin Landseer, as great as he was, he made similar mistakes as that so i dont care lol! i wish i had just half an ounce of his talent!
