So the first filly of the year came wondering into the roundup pens today.

Ethan looked out his window to see Pistol Jane, the ranch bred olive grulla mare standing off on her own. He knew she was due to foal, but surely she wouldn’t be doing it this soon.
He walked out into the ranch yard, and entered the barn. After filling a bucket half full of grain, he made his way to the roundup pens. Upon seeing him, Cyclone, Jane’s current stallion, snaking the skinny mares and her wobbly foal through the gate. She foal was a filly, grulla in color, with her sire’s appaloosa markings. She beared her dam’s badger faced markings, and a silky white tail. After Cyclone jogged ahead to eat his share of the grain, Ethan pulled out his cell phone and snapped a picture for the website. This filly will most likely be for sale.
