I love the subtle lighting in this shot and it's surprising to hear it's from your "backyard", did you use any filters or did you provide the lighting for the picture ? Very professional picture I think.

Oh yes, it' my backyard all right, but it was tinted - believe it or not but it's actually a purple crocus!

What a gorgeous shot! The flowers themselves are not complicated, but the unusual lighting makes this photo really special. The strong shadows and warm highlights make the flowers look reminiscent of embers burning quietly but strongly, emanating soft heat. That, together with the out-of-focus variation in the background, adds a mysterious mood to the scene.
