Here are two more Mercenary concepts, for Hyrule Total War!

First is a trooper styled after the Hylian soldiers of Twilight Princess, with comparable morale if the battle goes awry. They CAN fight, however, it's just that as mercenary auxiliaries to the Royal Hyrulean Army, they don't get the best training. That said, once experienced, these men become a capable force on the battlefield. The inspiration for these men came from the fact that the Hyrule faction has extremely lousy early-period spear infantry, and they need something a bit more reliable that can work with the Town Guards. The Guards have decent morale, but can't fight worth much, so these troops - able to fight but with poor morale - would be a good unit to pair them with.

Second is a Knight styled after the soldiers from A Link to the Past - the Hylian Knight Errant. There has been some demand that the ALttP soldiers get represented by their own darker version of Hyrule, but instead I decided that perhaps a different approach should be taken. The Knights Errant are Hyrulean Knights who have left their homes and duties behind, seeking adventure and glory on the battlefield. Naturally, large companies of Knights make for poor adventuring parties, so instead they offer themselves as high-quality mercenaries to anyone who can afford their price tag - which is surprisingly low, as these men know it's a bad idea to ask for too much gold for a few men, when the same job could be done for far cheaper with far more lower-grade mercenaries! The Knights Errant, though, are still soldiers of Hyrule. They would sooner die than jeopardize the safety of the Kingdom, even if it meant fighting against it - provided, of course, that you manage to convince them it's in Hyrule's best interest!!
